There has been a lot of work around here on Pixeldust herself as well as getting her a Facebook page and a TravelPod site. Please review our past travel and keep it bookmarked as we travel more in the future.
I got me some overalls AND a John Deere Tractor! Now if my mom and dad would just let me pick vegetables from the garden...I would be all set!!!
Spring is so wonderful here in North Carolina! Everything is blooming and getting green and days hover somewhere in the 60's and 70's. It's even suppose to be in the 80's this weekend!
Vaughn is a typical boy. He loves to run, get dirty and his new favorite hobby...biting. Mostly his classmates but sometimes us. We are working on that. It isn't fun being the mother of the "biter".
He likes toys in bins. He particularly likes to DUMP toys OUT of bins...Eggs out of Baskets...Food out of bowls. Yes, it is messy around here, but we are trying to keep up!
He has mastered Bye and Hi and says them repeatedly. He has begun saying Mommy over and over again reminiscent of Stewie on Family Guy. He just had his first Ear infection, which was tough but loved spending extra time with Daddy at home for a few days.
You will have to bear with the video for a break in the action when I put Vaughn into the bathtub...but it is worth it! As you can see, his new favorite word is Bubbles!
He also loves to say Bye Bye and Hi and there have been an awful lot of yellow slips coming home from school about biting! We are working on it! Overall, I think he wants the attention the bite brings. Yes, our son, the fame whore.
ha.
Love from NC!
Our little Butter Bean Vaughn....What a character! He is getting more talkative every day. The above video is a good snippet of his babble. He isn't usually wearing just a diaper but he had a particularly messy dinner that night and we stripped him down so as to avoid getting it anywhere else!
Vaughn's cuteness and wordplay includes:
He has finally mastered "Bye Bye" and waving.
Says "Hi Dada" when we get home from school.
Loves his morning "Boffle" or Waffle to us non Toddlers...
Has figured out the baby sign for more or I want it, pointing into his other hand and does it for just about anything edible that he sees!
He can say "Ball" and tries really hard at Balloon....with a "Ba Ba Ba" at the beginning.
Can "give momma a kiss" but really just presses his open mouth face up against my cheek and backs away.
Smiles really big now and shows off his 6 teeth (we are still waiting for more!)
Loves to climb on anything and climb IN his totes!
Knows most of his toys by name and loves to show off his retrieving skills.
I hope you all are surviving the ice and snow across the country!
I imagine that is what he was thinking...as he really enjoyed sucking on his fingers...that is until he decided to rub his eyes and his head thus spreading the orange icing EVERYWHERE!
Vaughn's first birthday went very well. We had a bunch of great friends, a couple of playmates, some fun new things to play with and good food. I know he won't remember this party but perhaps all the pictures he will see when he is older and the love he is feeling...he will know he one lucky boy.
He absolutely loves talking on toy telephones! So, with his cuteness and charm, he got his mom to create this cake based on the Fisher Price Chatterbox Telephone.
And THAT is where the cake was taken away, he got cleaned up and the gifts came out!
Here is the video of his first cake eating experience!
Vaughn was having a good time until he turned and to see where he was sitting. I think he thought everyone was looking at HIM! At least we got one good picture before he was traumatized for the rest of his life!
I can hardly believe it but Vaughn will be 1 year old on Wednesday!
Vaughn can say dada, mama, uh-oh and baba, bye bye, hi and yeah...but not always for the right things. He has 6 teeth (4 top, two bottom). He is moving into the toddler room soon as he becomes a "big boy" and eats all the school food, wears shoes to play outside and now naps on a cot. So weird for mommy to hear! He is even working to get rid of those bottles! He has walked for months now but as he sees the other kids in class, it makes him want to do more big kid stuff!
